PRLog - Dec. 24, 2012 - SAN DIEGO -- December 24, 2012 - San Diego, CA - San Diego Boca FC today announced that is has resigned Midfielder Christian Mederos to a one-year contract for the upcoming 2013 NPSL season. Mederos stands at 5'9 and weighs 155 lbs. and is a graduate of Eastlake School.
CEO/President Yan Skwara, commented, "We are very excited to re-sign Christian Mederos to a one-year contract as Christian is an extremely talented center midfield player that we want to build the team around. He has great touch and plays a nice one touch game and is a local player that has groomed his skills here in San Diego. Last year, almost at the midpoint of our season, Christian had a opportunity to do a trial with Pumas de la UNAM of the Mexican First Division and was gone for basically the entire second half of our season so it was a big loss losing him last year. Of course, Boca supported his career goals which is to see all our players play at the highest level possible. Now that Christian has returned from playing in Mexico and is committed to San Diego and to Boca, we will have a full season to maximize his play and have him be a big part of what we think can be a special season."
San Diego Boca FC Midfielder Christian Mederos commented, "I am excited to be back playing for Boca as we have a solid core of players returning from last year and some solid new players coming in. I really feel that if we all work hard we can achieve a championship but the commitment has to be there from the start and I am committed."
Head Coach Karim Ben Mazouk commented, "I am very pleased Christian is back with Boca for the upcoming season as he is a very big talent and if he plays his cards right he can play at higher levels in the future so this will be a great opportunity for him to show case his skills and technique."
