PRLog - Dec. 23, 2012 - HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates (http://www.mercedeshoffman.com/dealership/about.htm) has made a name for itself by providing the full lineup of vehicles from one of the world’s finest automakers to drivers throughout Chicagoland. Mercedes-Benz vehicles are renowned for their combination of opulence and performance, and so it’s unsurprising that sales are strong — in fact, the automaker broke its all-time sales record in November.

November sales amounted to 32,649 units, counting combined sales of Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Sprinter vehicles. This is an increase of 15.6% from last year. Year-to-date sales are also setting records, having sold 273,622 units, which is an increase of 14.5%. Even when you take Mercedes-Benz vehicles by themselves, though, the numbers are quite impressive: 30,315 units sold in November, which is an increase of 13.1%, with 245,910 units sold year-to-date, which is an increase of 12.0%.

Leading the charge in these historic sales increases were the C-, E-, and M-Class vehicles. The C-Class is considered an entry-level model, and led the charge with 8,565 units sold, an increase of 2.5%. The E-Class, now in its ninth-generation, came up second in raw numbers at 8,126 units sold, representing an increase of 59.5%. The M-Class is the automaker’s best-selling SUV and sold 3,894 units.

A shocking 107.3% gain over last year came from the SLK roadster, which had 427 units sold in November. But that’s not the biggest gain: the 2013 SL roadster, with 573 units sold, posted gains of 625.3% over last year.

AMG, the performance-racing division of Mercedes-Benz, also saw strong sales. With 6,176 units sold (compared to 4,721 last year), AMG vehicles saw a 30.8% increase in sales. BlueTEC diesel models posted sales of 13,738 units, a 7.9% increase over the previous year.

The automaker’s Certified Pre-Owned program reported 7,113 units sold in November, an increase of 28.6%. This is unsurprising, given the longevity of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

In short, Mercedes-Benz is in a time of great growth thanks to the high quality of its vehicles. Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates is proud to represent this automaker. Chicagoland drivers who are looking to see why these models are such hot sellers should visit their dealership soon (http://www.mercedeshoffman.com/dealership/directions.htm).
