Meeghan Henry and Alvina Tham
In the 2012 Rose Parade, the Wonderful Indonesia float represented the city of Pagar Alam, South Sumatra and won the President's Trophy award.
Meeghan Henry, member of new pop girl group Girl Radical formed by JC Chasez from NSync and Golden Globe winner Jimmy Harry, will be riding the float for her second consecutive time with Alvina Tham, Indonesian representative and the winner of the People's Choice Award in the 2012 Miss Asia USA cultural pageant.
"I'm thrilled to be part of this year's Wonderful Indonesia float," Henry, former Miss Teen Asia USA said. "I'm proud of my country and honored to be a representative. I love that they're participating in the Rose Parade again. It's the second time I'm doing it and now that I know what it's like, I won't as nervous, and I will definitely be more prepared with better shoes to stand in for the two hours I'll be on the float."
Tham is excited to be part of the Wonderful Indonesia float, this being her first time being a representative on a float in the annual Rose Parade. "I'm very grateful for this opportunity to be part of the 2013 Rose Parade. It is definitely something that I will remember for the rest of my life."
The Wonderful Indonesia float will be the 67th float in the line up of the Rose Parade taking place in Pasadena, California. The Rose Parade will take place on January 1, 2013 at 8 AM Pacific Central Time.
