Coldwell Banker in Temecula Valley Shines During Toys for Tots Drive

Dec. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The Temecula and Murrieta offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage wrapped up its Toys for Tots campaign on at its annual Toys for Tots event held on Dec. 13 at the Temeku Theater in Temecula, Calif. Between the event and the collection boxes that were distributed throughout the community, the Temecula and Murrieta offices were able to collect over 1,700 toys.

More than 500 people attended the annual event, which the Coldwell Banker offices have been sponsoring with the U.S. Marine Corps since 1998. Originally the fundraiser was held in the company offices in the form of an open house and as the years progressed and the event increased in capacity, the event then moved to the Temeku Theater in 2003 where Christmas movies were shown to the public and the price of admission was a new unwrapped toy.

“I am so proud of what our sales associates in the Temecula and Murrieta offices have accomplished with the Toys for Tots campaign,” said Marty Conrad, regional vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in San Diego and Temecula. “We take great pride in what we do for our community and are grateful for all those who come together for such a great cause.”

The Temeku Theater provides the movies, sodas and popcorn while Coldwell Banker agents furnish cookies, sandwiches and other snacks to the various attendees, which include local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops and community members throughout the Temecula Valley.  

In addition to the theater event, the agents of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage placed more than 100 collection boxes at various businesses around Temecula and participated in a shopping day at Walmart – which donated back a percentage of the money spent by the agents in the form of additional toys – on Temecula Parkway on Dec. 6. The annual event, which in some years generated over 10,000 toys provides toys that remain in the Temecula area and are distributed by The Pantry and Western Eagle Foundation.
