PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 21, 2012 - The Newtown school incident is the latest impetus for school principals and other administrators to seek outside providers to help them educate their students concerning all types of school violence.  One type of program that is commonly used to provide a lasting impact is the school assembly show.

According to one of the North East's best known assembly producers, Mark Stolzenberg, president of http://www.assembliesinschools.com, "Plays, stories, circuses, and other live action performances leave lasting impressions that can't be duplicated by pamphlets or classroom lectures."

The Newtown School shooting has increased interest again for these types of school assemblies, but sadly it is just one of many events over the last four years to call attention to the how violence and bullying effect the most vulnerable among us.

"Middle school kids are the most prone to bullying," says Stolzenberg, "and they are also still very impressionable.  Pre-teens and young teens have their emotions right out there where you can touch them through song, dance, or theater."

To meet this need, Stolzenberg has created the "Anti-Violence Musical" for grades 6-12 (see the details at http://www.assembliesinschools.com/anti-bullying.aspx).  "In this production we emphasize the 4 C's of conflict resolution:  Cool down, communicate, compromise, and celebrate."

If your school is looking for a way to challenge students with life affirming approaches that are known to help reduce violence and bullying in schools, give Mark Stolzenberg a call at 800-925-0964 or visit the company website at http://assembliesinschools.com.  Available in NY, CT, NJ, MA, and PA.
