The Employee Civic Fund has been part of Progressive Auto Group (http://www.ProgressiveAutoGroup.com) since 1950, when it was created as a way for employees to get more involved in the community. With its start, employees have generously contributed each and every year since. By donating just a small portion of each paycheck, employees are able to give back in a huge way. In just 10 years, employees of Progressive Chevrolet have contributed donations of over $208,000 and employees from Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram have donated over $107,000. Combined, that’s more than $315,000 in just 10 years!
Because employees contribute the donations, they also determine where the funds go. Representatives from each department are selected to participate as part of the Civic Fund Committee. This committee meets once a year to determine how the current year’s funds will be disbursed. Most organizations chosen are local charities or local chapters from national organizations that in some way help families in our area. Bringing it even closer to home, many of these organizations have directly impacted the life of an employee or loved one at Progressive Auto Group.
Organizations chosen to receive donations for 2012, include:
Progressive Chevrolet
Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts (Buckeye Council)
Community Services
Akron/Canton Food Bank
Siffrin Residential
Boys & Girls Club
American Red Cross
Meals on Wheels
Western Stark Free Clinic
The Salvation Army
United Way
Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

The Employee Civic Fund offers an incredible opportunity for the employees of Progressive Chevrolet and Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to give back to organizations in the community that do so much for friends, family and neighbors all across Stark County and beyond. Because of this they’d like to thank everyone involved.
