PRLog - Dec. 21, 2012 - Montreal, QC- There's little question with Twilight-mania still in the upswing that tales of the supernatural are big with the younger generation. But the reality is that younger readers aren't the only ones with an interest in the other-worldly set against a backdrop of relationships and real life situations. Author Ellen Lechter's A Few Simple Truths fills the gap, appealing to a more mature and sophisticated reader who wants one foot firmly planted in unearthly realms.

Lechter's debut novel follows the story of a Deandra, a mother in her early 40s facing the challenges of dramatic changes in her personal and family life. While struggling to deal with infidelity, teenagers, and creating an identity for herself as a writer, her life is further complicated by the realization of long-hidden abilities that take the phrase 'woman's intuition' to a whole other level. It's a storyline that appealed to the author on a variety of levels.
I've always enjoyed reading historical, family or relationship dramas that had a supernatural bent to them but they're few and far between, and especially those written specifically for an adult market," says Lechter, a mother of two, editor, and journalist. "So I set out writing this book with that in mind. I wanted to write something that combined elements of magic along with contemporary issues that people with a bit more life experience than your average teenager could hopefully relate to."
A Few Simple Truths is published by Wings Press, and is available for purchase in both physical and ebook format at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and Wings Press.
