Hotel Lobby – Giving Tree
Power of Sharing
The 16-ft tall sustainable Giving Tree at hotel lobby shares happiness with the community. This dazzling Giving Tree is composed of more than 60 second-handed wooden drawer from Eaton’s properties – Eaton, Hong Kong and Eaton House. Above the tree is decorated with stuffed toys, children books and canned food donated by Eaton’s colleagues. In early January 2013, all collected decorations will be donated to “Food Angel” and “Home of Love” for underprivileged families in Hong Kong and fills the festive with love!
E Club – Spiral Christmas Tree
A transformation of daily consumables
Isn’t this brownish spiral Christmas tree exquisite? From our records, we discard approximately 2,000 kg of card board per month. Therefore, our hotel green team has utilised and created this sustainable Christmas tree rather than disposing of the cardboard. The base of the Christmas tree is reusing the metal base of a coffee table whereas the upper part is stacking up about 300 layers of different square-shaped cardboard to form a twisted pyramid.
Main St Cafe – Sustainable Christmas Tress
To win a Main St Cafe year pass of free brewed coffee
Spending more than two months of collecting and making use of the recycled coffee paper cups, our hotel colleagues reused the cleaned paper cups to build a 1.6 meter tall Christmas Tree sparkling with energy-saving LED lighting in this festive season! What’s better than to freshen yourself up every morning with a cup of freshly brewed coffee? Stand a chance to win a year pass of free Main St Cafe coffee by guessing how many coffee paper cups we had used to build this twinkle Christmas tree!
