College Recruiting Workshop for High School Athletes

This is an informative and interactive recruiting workshop for all sports. When the evening is over you will leave with the knowledge, tools, and confidence you need to pursue playing at the next level knowing you left no stone unturned.

Dec. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Having been a coach for 26 years, a collegiate athlete, and a parent of a soon to be college athlete, Coach Winstead of Carolina Elite Football can empathize with the pressures, uncertainty, and fear of college recruiting for parents and athletes. “What encouraged us to conduct the workshops are the countless stories we hear from parents and athletes that are left empty handed after high school because the athlete lost out on the opportunity to play college sports and/or take advantage of financial aid and scholarship opportunities because they thought someone else was taking care of the business of recruiting. The process isn’t difficult, but it is one that requires the involvement of the parent and the athlete. A good athlete with good grades can play his/her sport in college with a good chance of getting financial assistance. In these times especially, we feel this is our responsibility “says Winstead.

Tim Ryerson, a former college coach and recruiting expert will also be presenting at the workshop. Coach Ryerson stays in constant contact with college coaches and is familiar with the NCAA rules and regulations as well as scholarship opportunities at various colleges and universities.
