Follow on Google News | New Jersey Man Wins 2012 Camaro Dream Giveaway!Retired teacher, Ron Seppi from Metuchen, New Jersey won the 2012 Camaro Dream Giveaway and a prize package that includes two Chevy Camaros and cash towards prize taxes. Mr. Seppi donated money to help children's charities and entered the giveaway.
By: Dream Giveaways Mr. Seppi will soon become the proud owner of a pair of Camaros; a 1969 Camaro SS/RS and a matching 2012 Camaro SS/RS supercharged by SLP Performance to 770hp! In addition, Mr. Seppi will be receive $35,000 cash to help pay the prize taxes. Mr. Seppi entered the 2012 Camaro Dream Giveaway on three separate occasions, each time making a $50 tax-deductible donation. Members of Dream Giveaway and Kids Wish Network were on hand to congratulate him when he received the winning phone call. He was stunned when he heard the news, “My heart is pounding,” Mr. Seppi said. “I have a 23 year-old car that is literally on its last legs. This is such great news and I am smiling from ear to ear.” Mr. Seppi, who in his free time enjoys swimming, biking, running, and playing tennis, retired as a high school computer literacy teacher in 2007. It wasn’t until he received a mailer for the 2012 Camaro Dream Giveaway that he decided to enter, “This is a dream come true,” Mr. Seppi said. “I have had an interest in performance cars since I was a child. I am also glad I was able to help benefit some wonderful children’s charities.” Mr. Seppi along with his wife Nikki, will accept the amazing Grand Prize package in January, 2013 at Troy, Michigan at a ceremony to be held at Alternative Automotive Technologies. Kids Wish Network (KWN) is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations. Thousands of entries were received over the course of the giveaway as a means of helping important children’s causes. As a result of this event, Kids Wish Network will award grants to Camp Boggy Creek and the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. Camp Boggy Creek is a year round medical camp for children ages 7-16 who suffer from chronic or life-threatening illnesses. The camp was co-founded by actor/philanthropist Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf. Coincidentally Paul Newman is someone Mr. Seppi has admired for a long time, “I have always admired the way Paul Newman graciously gave back some of what he earned to help benefit some wonderful causes,” Mr. Seppi said. The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer’s mission is to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life through essential specialized intervention beginning at the time of diagnosis and continuing throughout survivorship.
