Volpe & Koenig Associate Speaks to St. Joseph's University Students on Patent Law in Life Sciences

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 19, 2012 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (December 18, 2012) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia and Princeton, announced that Associate Douglas J. Bucklin, PhD presented a seminar entitled, "Intellectual Property and Science" to students at St. Joseph’s University's ("St. Joseph’s")  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania campus on December 6, 2012.  The program was hosted by St. Joseph's Molloy Chemical Society ("the Society") as part of a seminar series in which the Society invites a speaker, from a non-academic setting, to present on how chemistry plays a role in their work.  

Bucklin concentrates his practice on foreign and domestic patent related matters.  His intellectual property experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and preparing patentability, freedom to use, infringement and validity opinions.  He also has experience in litigation and other inter parte matters.  His technical experience includes biotechnology, plant genetics, pharmaceuticals, chemical inventions, cardiac care medical devices and mechanical devices.   Bucklin is a member of the bar in Pennsylvania and Utah, is admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Utah and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
