Father and Son Team Combine Law Offices at the Garvin Law Firm

Dec. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Leland E. Garvin, a second generation trial attorney, has returned to Southwest Florida to work side-by-side with his father, Jeffrey R. Garvin, at the Garvin Law Firm in Fort Myers, Florida.

After working as a prosecutor in Broward County, Leland Garvin started his own law firm in Fort Lauderdale which he has been operating for the past four years.  Recently, Leland and his father made the decision to combine their two offices to better serve the needs of their current and future clients. The Garvin Law Firm concentrates in personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accident, and medical malpractice litigation.

Earlier this year, Leland Garvin was named one of the top 40 lawyers under age 40 in Florida by The National Trial Lawyers Association and one of “Forty Under 40” by Gulf Coast Business Review.
In 2010, he was named one of the Top Young Lawyers in Florida by the Florida Super Lawyers magazine.  Only 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers for this list.

In 2009, Leland was selected as “one of the best up and coming attorneys” in the state of Florida by Florida Trend Magazine and listed in the 2009 edition of Strathmore’s Who’s Who.

Working across the state with two offices has taught us that we can better focus on the needs of the client from a single office,” Leland Garvin said.

Leland is a Fort Myers native who graduated from Cypress Lake High School and Florida State University before moving to Fort Lauderdale to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University, during which time he clerked for a large personal injury firm. Wanting more trial experience, he joined the State Attorney’s Office in the 17th Circuit where he worked as a prosecutor at the juvenile, misdemeanor, and felony trial levels.
