PRLog - Dec. 19, 2012 - West Asheville, NC. Community store West Village Market's growth is aided by new sign. Three years ago, owners Rosanne Kiely and Ron Ainspan moved their corner market from the Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville to the neighborhood community of West Asheville and have found their niche.
West Village Market
It took the first couple of years for us to fine tune the market to meet the needs of the local community. “Next we knew we had to improve our presence for passing traffic, so we looked to obtain a sign that would be clear and noticeable; one that would fit along our strip and have broad appeal. So we approached Asheville SIGNARAMA” stated Rosanne. “We wanted a good sign that would be simple and yet pop so that it would attract customers. The team at Asheville SIGNARAMA was very helpful. I had a good idea of what we wanted and the team worked with us, giving advice and guidance. They produced a number of proofs so that we could see the impact of various ideas. They even spent time recommending the types of materials for the sign, this helped us reduce the cost of the sign which any small business owner knows is always a good thing.”
Rosanne and Ron wanted to create a market store that would serve the local community, not only as a place that you can get the necessary items, but also became a hub for the community. The personal touch and local character is very important to us. West Asheville has a vibrant village atmosphere, and its one we’re proud to be part of.” It’s a wonderfully diverse community ranging from singles, professionals, and artists to an ever growing set of young families. Lots of people are always strolling through the neighborhood, often with kids and 4-legged friends.
The market endeavors to carry almost everything the neighborhood needs, with always a twist of something new. They also support the local producers and manufacturers. “The Asheville region has a wealth of small businesses and producers and the ability to showcase their products, as well as the local produce, is very important to us. Throughout the store we also cater to a variety of dietary needs including gluten free and vegan.
The store also provides a deli that produces wholesome meals for the busy individual and families, and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner items. With everyday specials and twists, there is always something new to try. In keeping with providing nutritional items and services, they also host a Juice Bar from Wednesday through Saturday, where you can brainstorm with the team to create yummy and nutritious drinks.
The store also has a small seating area where you can consume these delicious items and catch up on the latest over a cup of organic coffee or juice.
The idea of addressing health beyond providing wholesome nutritious food and produce has led Rosanne to introduce a range of nutritional supplements and body care products. “Vital health involves both the inside and outside. Many of the body care products we offer, as well as herbal supplements, are locally produced. We're excited about having such high quality products from our own community. And, our local experts make themselves available to share information at evening workshops in the store.
The West Village Market is located at 771 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC and is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm, and Sunday from 9am to 10pm.
