Dokmo Collects Christmas Toys for Children In Need

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 19, 2012 - For the past month, Dokmo Ford Chrysler has served as a drop off spot for Northfield, Minnesota's Christmas sharing program.  People from anywhere have been able to come by and drop off toys to be donated as Christmas presents to children in need.  All toys were placed in the bed of a brand new Ford F-150.

The idea was simple.  The people of Northfield were challenged to fill the back of the Ford, hence the name "Fill a Ford".  In return, Dokmo would match their giving and fill an additional Ford.  Donations ended on December 10.

The donations were quite generous and the people of Northfield managed to fill up the truck bed entirely.  Dokmo was  quick to match the giving.  Now, all of those gifts are being prepared for distrabution to underprivileged children.

About Northfield Christmas Sharing

Northfield Christmas Sharing is a program ran by the Community Action Center of Northfield, MN.  In 2011 they managed to brighten the Christmas of 866 children belonging to nearly 400 different families.  Gift packages include pajamas, a book, a puzzle or game, mittens/gloves, a stocking stuffer, and a main gift.
