Small Business Launches 1% Corporate Giving Campaign in 2013

Dec. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Burlingame, CA – Bluebelle Concierge, a company that provides as-needed personal assistance to individuals and companies throughout the Bay Area, has committed to donating one percent of profits earned to local nonprofits making positive strides in education. They will partner with a different nonprofit organization each quarter in 2013.

Laura Kahn, Co-Founder of Bluebelle Concierge, says, “We’ve always made a personal commitment to giving back but we decided it is definitely time to make this a company-wide commitment. Education is an issue very close to our hearts, and we think this campaign will be a great way to start the New Year while encouraging our clients and community to join us.”

The first organization Bluebelle will partner with is the Tutorpedia Foundation, a nonprofit based in San Francisco that provides high quality one-on-one tutoring services to underserved students in the Bay Area. “We are thrilled and honored that Bluebelle chose Tutorpedia Foundation as the first recipient of their quarterly giving campaign,” says Seth Linden, Founder and CEO of Tutorpedia Foundation. “This is a great partnership that will lead to the creation of more one-on-one tutoring opportunities for students in need.”

According to The San Francisco Business Times, the companies on its list of the most generous Bay Area corporate philanthropists gave a combined $220.7 million to local nonprofits in 2011. While Bluebelle and other small businesses may not be able to give on that level, the founders of Bluebelle strongly believe in the power of collective change.
