Flagler County, FL: Fifteen Rotary Club of Flagler County Members Receive Highest President's Volunteer Service Award
The Rotary Club of Flagler County announces that President Barack Obama through the Corporation for National & Community Service, Points of Light Foundation, has awarded 15 members of the Rotary Club of Flagler County the prestigious President's Call to Service Award. Formerly known as the Lifetime Volunteer Service Award recipients must have provided 4,000 hours or more of non-paid volunteer service to receive the highest level award, the President's Call to Service Award. Since 2003 only 2,522,405 total awards have been presented to U.S. citizens or permanently admitted residents. "The recipients [who are all Past President's of the Rotary Club of Flagler County] have volunteered thousands of hours supporting our community," said Rick Staly, Club President. "It is a great honor that their lifelong service to our community is being recognized by the President of the United States."
The awards will be presented on behalf of President Obama by Rotary Club of Flagler County President Rick Staly during the Club's annual holiday social meeting on December 12, 2012.
Rotarians receiving the award are: Bill Butler, Bruce Page, Carl Laundrie, Charles Warren, Giulio Lancia, Dr. Howard Turner, James Callender, Dr. James Guines, James Manfre, Jeanette Loftus, Jim Gardner, Joel Fallon, Kent Ryan, Michael Beadle and Michael Kelley.
