PRLog - Dec. 19, 2012 - “Authors need to pay attention even more closely to the not so obvious things, people, and your environment as tools that can be used as is, or re-purposed in crafting a marketing plan.”
12 Tips and Secrets for Authors
So says Ms Corine La Font, Certified Professional Virtual Author Assistant (PVAA) and Online Book Marketing Specialist (OBMS). Ms La Font was speaking on the launch of her book Holiday Series on Book Marketing-Lessons from Santa: 12 Tips and Secrets for Authors (Holiday Series on Book Marketing).
Describing the book as “a handy tool to have in your arsenal, filled with *free* resources and links” Corine says that the book will help the traditional and aspiring author to consider other creative, not so typical, out of the box ways to marketing themselves and their books.
According to Ms La Font, while this book was slanted towards book marketing in the holiday season, the ideas and tips shared could be applied throughout the year. She further states that the book was written to raise authors’ awareness of marketing their books or at least getting actively involved in its promotion. It also took into consideration those prominent figures associated with the holidays that authors could learn from in carrying out their book marketing efforts.
To mark the launch of her book, Corine will be embarking on a Virtual Book Tour from 17-21 December 2012. A Virtual Book Tour allows the author to ‘travel’ online visiting various websites and sharing written, audio and video blog posts with the blog owners and their readership. The tour exposes the Author to a wider audience and gives readers the opportunity to interact and learn more about the book and the Author.
