Beaufort International Film Festival Names Finalists for 2013

Filmmakers from around the world are once again set to appear at the Seventh Annual Beaufort International Film Festival taking place Feb 13 - 17, 2013 in the historic city of Beaufort, SC.

Dec. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Beaufort, South Carolina -- The Beaufort Film Society is pleased to announce the Official Selections for the 7th Annual Beaufort International Film Festival.  With entries from 22 countries, in the categories of Feature Films, Shorts, Animation, Student Films, Screenplays and Documentaries, the 7th annual Beaufort International Film Festival is ready for showtime. It's expected that more than 35 filmmakers from around the world will make their way to the historic city of Beaufort, where the focus is always on the newest generation of filmmakers and storytellers as they share their passion projects with an adoring film loving public.

The 2013 festival will also feature more regional filmmakers than in past years with the addition of a block for filmmakers whose films were produced through the South Carolina Indie Grants Program.   In addition to several great films, the very successful  Screenwriter’s Table-Read will return, facilitated by each Screenwriter Finalist. H. Haden Yellin, a former Los Angeles based Screenwriter, will also offer a 1 hour presention of "How to Sell Your Screenplay".

In addition to the impressive attendance by the filmmakers, also appearing will be Academy Award nominated and Emmy winning Director/Producer Mike Tollin who will be presented the Jean Ribaut Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.
