Today, local news seekers can turn to a transformed news12.com to get the most up-to-the-minute updates on what’s happening in their communities.  The enhanced website features a new look, improved navigation, and HD quality video.  Now your web viewing experience on news12.com is as rich and dynamic as watching it on TV.  All the top stories of the day are front and center on the site.  The interface also makes adding comments to stories easy through your Facebook log-on, and if there is additional material available on your selected story it will automatically display to allow you to go further in-depth.  

The weather center on news12.com has added features to help keep viewers informed at a glance and at a click with the forecast positioned right in the middle of the page.  The upgraded traffic center is located in the same area and allows visitors to find traffic cameras on the interactive map and set up customized routes to work, school, or around town.  

Extended Live Coverage

News 12 has added extended live news coverage on weekdays and weekends, so local news on all seven News 12s is available 7 days a week.  With use of new technology, including 10 video backpacks, which transmit live video over cell phone, wi-fi, and/or the internet, combined with traditional news gathering, including 7 live trucks and chopper 12, News 12 offers more live programming and updates than ever before.      

High Definition Quality

With the recent conversion of the News 12 Traffic and Weather channels to HD, all of News 12 programming is now available in HD quality.   This provides our viewers with the opportunity to view their news, traffic and weather in the in the crisp, clear display that high-definition television provides.
