PRLog - Dec. 17, 2012 - LAS VEGAS -- Aynalem Workneh, a civic-minded businesswoman, is the recipient of an ATHENA Award for “Young Professional Leadership” and for her dedication to giving back to the Southern Nevada community. The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada made the announcement at the 9th Annual ATHENA Awards and Community Partner Appreciation Awards luncheon held at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino on December 7. The event honored women who have made a difference in the Las Vegas community.

Workneh is the current President of ANGELS OF LAS VEGAS (AOLV), a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that focuses on helping children and adults who are battling cancer, as well as showing support to families in need. AOLV provides several programs that include professional support, networking groups, financial support and much more. Workneh also lends her time and support to other local, national, and international charitable organizations.
“It is truly an honor to be nominated with so many phenomenal women. I am very humbled to be a recipient of the Young Professional Leadership Award,” said Workneh, President of AOLV. “Giving back to the community has always had a special place in my heart, I love seeing people happy and with a charity like AOLV I can make that happen.”
