Copywriter Debra Jason Returns to Colorado & Celebrates 24 Years in Business

Dec. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Boulder, CO – After living on the Garden Isle of Kaua`i, HI, professional copywriter, public speaker, and creative marketing coach, Debra Jason has returned to Boulder, CO. Owner of The Write Direction, Ms. Jason is proud to announce that 2013 marks the 24th anniversary of her business.

In 2002, Ms. Jason made the full-time move to Kauai’s north shore after approximately 5 ½ years of commuting back and forth between there and Colorado. “Kaua`i is a magical paradise and living in close proximity to the magnificent blue Pacific was fabulous,” explained Ms. Jason. However, a series of events over the last three years resulted in her decision to return to Boulder. “For two years in a row I had to evacuate my home due to tsunami warnings. Last year, I had to evacuate because my home flooded. At those times, it was hard to be so far from family.”

The Write Direction first opened its doors in Boulder on January 1, 1989. “Back then, times were tough in Colorado. I had been looking for a full-time job, but most companies were laying off employees back then. However, they told me that if I was freelancing then they could use my services,” commented Jason. “I had always wanted my own business, but never knew what it was going to be. Voila! The Write Direction was born.”

“It’s hard to believe that it was 24 years ago when I adopted a hand-me-down computer from my dad and opened up shop in my living room. You can imagine how proud I am to have come this far. More than two decades of success have been made that much sweeter by my loyal clients and colleagues who have consistently shown their support over the years regardless of my location."

Ms. Jason is Past President of the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association (RMDMA) and the Kauai North Shore Business Council. She is a former Board member of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce; the Zonta Club of Hanalei; former chair person of the Kaua`i Women in Business Roundtable; and a member of the Kaua`i Board of Realtors. She is also a recipient of the RMDMA’s “Creative Person of the Year” award.
