“The Barber instructors and students are always looking for ways to give back to the community and this is one of the most rewarding. The look on a child’s face when they have a new haircut renews an excitement in our students,” said Jamie Kidder, OTC Campus Director.
OTC holds an annual Cuts for Kids event each fall to launch the new school year, the event has been so popular with the community in the past the college decided to add a mid-season event this year to help usher kids back into the swing of the second half of the school year.
Haircuts will be given on the college campus located at 44th and Sheridan in Tulsa from 9:30am to 8pm on both days.
The services are performed by supervised barber students and are meant as an opportunity to gain real-world experience as well as give back to the community. The haircuts are completely free and no appointment is necessary. All other shop services will be available at regular menu prices with advanced appointment.
