PRLog - Dec. 17, 2012 - CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- Laurel Springs, NJ--Wow! Science Camp has added new camp locations in East Windsor, New Jersey; Wilmington, Delaware; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "As we continue to expand this unique program, our new locations will allow us to meet the needs of families who have been asking for a location in their area for the past three years", stated Fola Adebi, Executive Director.
Wow! Science Camp has experienced a six-fold growth since its inaugural camp in 2010. More than 90 percent of children who participate in the program wish to return the following year. Feedback from parents demonstrate increased interest in science among campers. Adebi attributes the success of the program to its focus on hands-on learning. "Research shows that hands-on learning is the most effective form of learning," she remarked. "By making learning practical, many of our campers have demonstrated cumulative knowledge of topics covered while having fun conducting all sorts of age-appropriate STEM projects."
In addition to fun experiments and projects, math review, money management lessons, educational games and simulations, and etiquette lessons, the camp also offers weekly field trips to exciting destinations.
