Mickus' practice emphasizes the defense of manufacturers during the discovery, trial and appeal stages of product liability lawsuits, as well as the coordination of pattern litigation. He has handled cases involving a wide variety of products, including automobiles, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, industrial machinery and recreational equipment. Mickus’ practice also addresses allegations asserted against financial planners in their interactions with investors. He has tried cases to juries in Colorado, Texas, California, New York, Montana and several other states. Mickus has made court appearances and argued appeals in numerous jurisdictions across the country. He is admitted to practice law in Colorado, Texas and numerous federal courts. Mickus is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and he is currently on the Board of Directors and Co-Chairman on the Legal Advisory Board for the Colorado Civil Justice League.
