Employees at the Windsor Assembly Plant have participated in Sparky’s Toy Drive for the past ten years, and this year, they donated more than ever before. All of the toys they accumulated for the toy drive filled up five Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans that were used to deliver the toys, which will go to underprivileged children to help brighten up their holidays.
The toys were among thousands delivered to the Windsor Fire Department, which includes Sparky the Fire Dog who the toy drive is named for. The Chrysler Windsor Assembly Plant has donated toys regularly throughout the past ten years to the toy drive in a total of 30 minivans. Toys donated by the plant over the past decade amount to roughly $100,000, and they have been able to reach around 30,000 children in the area.
