Dec. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Everybody is on their toes with the release of Black Ops 2, the successful sequel of Black Ops which changed the way we look at first person shooters. The latest installment will allow you to have fun with 3 games in 1, numbering single player campaign, multiplayer and an entire new set of games which allows you to kill zombies to get points and then compare the result with your friends to see who got the highest score. While some of us will certainly got through all three modes, most will just find a single part of the game to work for them. Let me break things down for you in the following black ops 2 review.

Amazing storyline

To begin with, I am in the minority and only played the single player side of the game. What I loved about it is that it was extremely enticing and it hooked me up from the first few minutes that I started playing the game. With David S. Goyer as the author of the story, the same man who was involved in the Dark Knight franchise, you cannot expect anything less than amazing.

Playing as the bad guy

What I really loved about this installment is that it also allows you to play as the bad guy, which is not something you see in every shooter released these days. The decisions you will make playing as Raul Menendez (the bad guy) will impact the ending, but why would a bad guy want to make some good decisions in the first place? To be honest I found this part really interesting and it hooked me in a strange, but comforting way with how the events developed and how the storyline went on.

It seems that with the Black Ops 2 Treyarch is attempting something quite unique. The characters returning from the previous game are shoe-horned in, but despite this, their performance is astonishing. I personally loved the camaraderie between Mason and his best pal who is voiced over by Michael Rooker and has a unique, fun and personality. On top of that you will find there is plenty of incentive for replays, an aspect that I never really felt in any CoD game before.

Enticing missions

Playing your first few missions will get you really pumped up and ready to rumble, as you have clear objectives, having to go through many challenges in order to achieve them, something which in my opinion is the heart of the game. You always feel connected to the game, you practically feel that everything you do has an impact that one way or another, will your character in the game, but yourself as well. What I'm trying to say is that it hooks you really badly and you cannot escape its amazing grip and I think this is the essence of every successful game out there.

Laggy multiplayer

It seems that one thing about the game is not as gamers would have expected and that regards the multiplayer. The ping is not displayed which is really frustrating for many gamers. There are also some maps which are full of camping spots and there are also a few logical flaws. One of them is when your team spawns in a lobby where your team's being demolished. That's certainly affecting the win\loss ratio quite a lot.

If you're a good player you will go through the campaign missions in around 8 to 9 hours in which you'll really feel your blood pumping through your veins and your adrenaline levels soaring higher and higher. Get ready for one of the most enticing installments in the franchise and don't forget to reload: you will need to be this sharp throughout the game!
