The guest list includes all Embassies , Trade commissions and FIFI Members. Amit Lohani , Convenor of Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI) announced it to the press and related trade publication

The event was covered by all new channels and media . Forum FIFI represents Food & Beverage Importers from India. The objective of the FIFI is a common platform for promoting, encouraging & Supporting Food Importers from India and for development and facilitation of Trade.  We wanted an organization to highlight issues like Non Tariff Barriers, High Customs Duties, PFA laws, Inter-state Taxations & Borders Laws. The forum also wanted to present a united front to the Different Government bodies, Business forums, trade commissions & International chambers.

On the Occasion Mr. Amit Lohani (Convenor) of FIFI said "FIFI members contribute more 850 brands from 54 countries to the Indian retail portfolio, thereby creating new categories and quality benchmarks in food industry. Inspite of being a small group FIFI contributes to 850 million US$ of buying power" . FIFI liaise with various government agencies to undertake a review of Import Policy Regulations and Food Labelling laws to reduce the regulatory burden on food importers without compromising State Revenue , Consumer Health & Safety. FIFI has been acknowledged by government bodies like FSSAI, embassies, trade luminaries, media and marketers. It has kept up its efforts to co-ordinate the workings of various trade promotion bodies, such as USDA, Spanish Food & Wine, New Zealand Trade, Austrade and so on.

FIFI has been bringing forward Critical issues facing this industry include: increased levels of regulation in the form of quality, documentation; demands for variety and innovation; low profit margins; and shelf life management
