Rock and Roll 101 presents three-hour Christmas special on KQCK!

Popular bi-weekly alternative online oldies radio show features the best of Christmas rock and roll from the last five decades.

 
PRLog - Dec. 15, 2012 - QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. -- QUEEN CREEK, AZ USA – Daniel and co-host Marie bring you Rock and Roll 101, the bi-weekly online show that specializes in forgotten vintage oldies from rock's first three decades, on alternating Sundays at KQCK Radio.

This Sunday, Rock and Roll 101 presents three hours of Christmas rock. The special show time is 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, and can accessed by logging on to www.kqcklive.com.

This week, you'll hear three hours of Christmas rock, featuring Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Greg Lake, Jethro Tull, Bobby Sherman, Bobby Goldsboro, Jackie DeShannon, Royal Guardsmen, Boney M, The Beatles, cuts from the legendary Phil Spector Christmas album, Solomon Burke, Staple Singers, James Brown, Cliff Richard, The Supremes, Simon & Garfunkel, Bobby Vee, Peggy Lee and much more!

Listeners are encouraged to check out any of the archived shows on the site's video archive. The past shows with audio and video can be accessed at www.kqcklive.com.

Rock and Roll 101 is heard at 5 p.m. on alternating Sundays at www.kqcklive.com. (schedule subject to change).

About the host: Before returning to his journalism career for good in 1995, Daniel spent over 20 years on the air, primarily in his home area of Fargo, N.D.-Moorhead, Minn. A former oldies disc jockey, music programmer and arts & entertainment writer, Daniel served as creative consultant and narrator for the 2006 DDM Films documentary “Fargo Rocks,” a film devoted to the first four decades of Fargo-Moorhead’s rock and roll history. He also wrote the liner notes to volumes 1 and 2 of the soundtrack CDs (www.fargorocksthemovie.com). Daniel brings his life-long expertise as a Top 40 musicologist of the 45 rpm era to Rock and Roll 101.
