Mr. Barton states, "Through this new association with the L.A. Blues, we at SDSP are furthering our relationships with various soccer organizations. In our stated mission to ‘grow the game’ we’ve had the privilege to develop relationships with the Xolos in Tijuana, had two of our Flash players invited to tryout with the San Jose Earthquakes, had one of our players signed to a Major League Soccer contract with New England Revolution last year, and more. A major goal of our company is to secure relationships that can help players move on to higher levels in the world of soccer, and it’s energizing to extend that reach through my new work with the Blues."
The Los Angeles Blues are a soccer club based in Fullerton, California that play in the 11 member professional United Soccer Leagues. In 2012, the Blues finished 8th in the USL standings with a 9 - 12 - 3 record. Mr. Barton brings his depth of knowledge to develop their capabilities and help boost their success much as he did with the San Diego Flash in his new role as General Manager and Technical Director with the team.
From a Press Release that was sent out by the L.A. Blues organization:
Ali Mansouri, the L.A. Blues Soccer Club’s Co-Founder and Executive Director said “He [Warren Barton] brings vast experience and knowledge to a relatively new organization like the Blues and above all, his determination to succeed will help us on and off the field.”
“I’m delighted to be involved with the LA Blues and consider it a great opportunity and professional challenge,” said Barton.
From SDSP Soccer Marketing CEO Clent Alexander: "We are excited to have the L.A. Blues bring Warren in to help them with their team. Expanding our network helps SDSP grow the game and enhances opportunities for the San Diego Flash, the players we develop, and soccer in Southern California in general.”
