MPA February member Meeting Anatomy of a Documentary

Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Come and meet Michigan’s New Film Office Director, Margaret O’Reily!

In Michigan we make a wide variety of motion pictures. We are trained to finesse sheet metal beauty for corporate and commercial work and to tell dramatic stories through feature films. But a great number of new and seasoned professionals also delve into the world of documentary films. All manner of subjects are approached and portrayed for the viewer in evermore innovative ways.

Our leader for this overview session will be well known award winning Documentary Filmmaker KATHY VANDER. Student filmmaker Mike Rubyan who won the Lansing Film Festival Award for best Documentary in 2008 will also speak. Both will discuss and show some of their work.
