Englewood Cliffs Cadillac Ready for GM’s Rise in Limousine and Livery Trade

But with roll out of the 2013 model year, it’s been two model years since a Lincoln Town Car has come off an assembly line, paving the way for General Motors to fill that void with Cadillac’s all-new 2013 XTS luxury sedan. Englewood Cliffs Cadillac, New Jersey’s newest Cadillac dealer, is ready for GM’s rise and brought on industry veteran Bill Fellbaum to manage its venture into the limousine and livery trade.

Fellbaum brings over 30 years of experience to the young Cadillac dealership, which is co-owned by former New York Giants Jessie Armstead and Antonio Pierce and automotive veteran Mike Saporito. His experience comes primarily with Cadillac vehicles in the northern New Jersey and New York City areas, both of which are known for a large presence of limousine and livery services. He is in charge of supplying the new Cadillac lineup to limousine and livery fleets in the area.

“The [Cadillac] XTS is filling a huge void left by the Lincoln Town Car L Series,” said Fellbaum. “The clients are looking for luxury sedans to replace the old Town Cars, as opposed to the Lincoln MKT, which is basically crossover.”

The Town Car left the market with no direct replacement. Lincoln’s current full-size vehicle is the MKS. While the XTS is a brand new model, it is a luxury vehicle more in line with the standards of vehicles used in limousine and livery services.

That is critical, says Fellbaum, who also designs and builds custom XTS and Escalade vehicles for his clients. At Englewood Cliffs Cadillac, he will also handle his limousine and livery clients’ service needs, giving them priority in the dealership’s 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art service department.

“Whether a client has one car or one hundred, if that vehicle is not on the road it’s not making money,” said Fellbaum. “If it is stuck in service for a long time, it’s losing income for the client. That’s why we give them priority in our service area.”
