Dan Perkins Subaru to Host Blood Drive in Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy
Milford, CT – Dan Perkins Subaru is holding a blood drive in their showroom on Friday, December 28th from 11am-4pm. The blood drive will be done through the American Red Cross and will be open to all local residents who wish to donate.
Hundreds of blood drives on the east coast were cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. As a result, many hospitals are still in need of blood to restore their reserves. Dan Perkins Subaru recognizes that the holidays are a time when many people are looking for ways to help those in need. Giving blood is the perfect way to give a gift that is always needed – a gift that money can’t buy.
Dan Perkins Subaru has arranged for all donors to receive upright massages during the blood drive. Plus, there will be a live radio remote on site from WEBE 108 from 11am-1pm. Donors will also be able to enjoy free prizes and giveaways from the radio station, as well as refreshments.
According the American Red Cross - a 125-year strong movement of service - “Every minute of every day, someone needs blood... When you make a blood donation, you join a very select group. Currently only 3 out of every 100 people in America donate blood… The American Red Cross has formed a community of service, of generous, strong and decent people bound by beliefs beyond themselves. The American Red Cross donor embodies this principle.”1
Dan Perkins Subaru takes pride in staying connected with the community. By hosting this convenient way for people to practice good citizenship, Dan Perkins Subaru is hoping to energize their employees, customers and local residents to join in the mission of the American Red Cross to maintain a safe and stable blood supply and restore blood reserves impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The American Red Cross blood drive will take place at Dan Perkins Subaru, located at One Boston Post Road in Milford, CT, on Friday, December 28th from 11am-4pm.
