Dec. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- The Fifth World:  Rise of the Two Kingdoms is here.  As December 21st approaches, the world is focused on the Ancient Mayan culture and their long count calendar and its prediction of Doomsday.  On October 15, 2012, Iggy, a small claustrophobic turtle, and his friends from a Western Connecticut wetland pond, in conjunction with Nature itself, embarked on a journey to the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal, Mexico and the Temple of the Tortoise.  The Mayans long have been known for their mathematical precision, calculating the movement of the planets and forecasting eclipses and astronomical events.

Luckily, Green Pieces Cartoons has come to the rescue with a chance to save humanity and the Mayan Fourth World and prevent the predicted creation of the Fifth World.  Cabby, the world’s smartest bullfrog, has discovered that the Mayans have built a failsafe device to prevent this predicted cataclysmic end.  Cabby found that the Mayan’s prediction of the solar systems planetary alignment with the center of the galaxy is correct and that the gravitational pull, though slight in terms of interstellar space, would depress the North American plate at the boundary of the Caribbean plate.  He also found that the Mayans revered the Turtle and built a temple at this boundary and set the stage for a plan to stop the continental plate slip that will inevitably trigger volcanic eruptions along the fault, plunging the Fourth World into destruction.

The Mayan failsafe turns out to be a chamber deep below the Temple of the Tortoise at Uxmal along this fault.  The Mayans designed a shaft that accepts one turtle of perfect proportions whose shell can support the weight of a continent and thus preventing the fault from erupting.  Cabby through his scientific prowess found the one turtle shell that can take the weight of the world.  That shell belongs to his friend Iggy.  The question remains how to get the claustrophobic turtle from Connecticut to Uxmal.

Normally Cabby’s transporter could get Iggy to Uxmal in an instant.  Due to the Sun’s instability and almost constant mass solar eruptions, however, Cabby’s ability to transport great distances has been sketchy at best.  So Cabby and his group of pond friends, Roc the Raccoon, Radic the Dragonfly and Iggy venture from the back woods of Connecticut to the jungles of Mexico in time to save the world.   Helped by the Two Kingdoms (plants and animals), the pond friends battle humans and the elements throughout each step of their incredible journey across two countries.  Their journey is tracked and thwarted at every turn by US Government forces that follow Cabby's intermittent transporter use.

Green Pieces provides a positive approach to the Mayan prophecy.  Join thousands of Green Pieces fans already cheering on our friends from the pond.  The entire storyline is available at http://www.GreenPiecesCartoons.com  or at http://www.GoComics.com/Green-Pieces.  Jump into today’s strip or start at the beginning on October 15th.  Either way you are sure to cheer on Iggy, Cabby, Radic and Roc and all of Nature as they try to save the world.
