Established in 2009 by The Dallas Morning News and its partner, Workplace Dynamics LLC, companies eligible for participation included public or private companies, as well as for-profit and nonprofit organizations with more than 50 employees in the DFW metroplex.
“Collaboration and support are a huge component in both the office and on the construction site, especially when it comes to overcoming obstacles,” said McCarthy’s Texas Regional President, Mike McWay. “As a 100 percent employee-owned company, we work together to foster a family-friendly culture backed by numerous team-building opportunities. We are proud our employees nominated McCarthy again and it’s an honor to be recognized for a third time. We hope to continue to improve our work environment and see our name on the list again next year.”
“One of the best parts of working here is McCarthy’s involvement with community organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, The First Tee, Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Heart Association,”
Each entry is judged based on an employee opinion survey. All employees rate their employer in different categories such as business operations, values, policies and facilities. More than 72,280 employees in the DFW area were surveyed, and responses were analyzed to narrow companies down to the top 100.
McCarthy adds this award to a growing list of other business and industry-based awards the firm has recently received, including the No. 8 ranking on the Dallas Business Journal’s 2012 Healthiest Employers in North Texas (http://www.bizjournals.com/
