Dec. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Bangalore, 13 December 2012: The 5th Bangalore International Film Festival (Biffes) will host a public venue for screening of films this year, from 21 – 27 December 2012.  There will be screening of films in Freedom Park with one film per day in the evenings.  The screening will begin with the movie, Bangarada Manushya by Kannada Film Idol, the late Dr. Rajkumar. The movie has completed 40 years since its release is specifically chosen due to the tremendous impact it had on moviegoers.

Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairperson and President of Biffes Committee, Tharanooradha said “Anyone can walk-in for the screening. Registration or delegate passes will not be required. It will be like a drive-in/amphitheatre experience. This concept is very popular during film festivals.”

This time a huge screen is installed for the general public at Freedom Park and is sponsored by State Bank of India. The entry is free of charge, but there will be no seating arrangement. The public will have the option of choosing which films to be screened in the open venue from a shortlist of 20 films will be put up on the Biffes website.
