I got the old kindle fire as a gift a few days before this one came out.. I obviously returned that one and purchased the new one. This is a MAJOR upgrade. It is so much faster and everything just looks and sounds better. I enjoy it because I like Amazon. I like to be able to shop and download music from there because they usually have the best price and if they don't, it's only a matter of time before it goes on sale! I use my kindle to read, shop, use some apps, and watch netflix and videos. For all of those functions, I love it! I wouldn't recommend it if you were looking for a tablet pc to edit documents etc. This is more for entertainment purposes and you're basically buying into the ecosystem that Amazon offers, which is much better deals on everything! I also own an Iphone and you can just download the music to your computer and add it to your itunes. I would much rather go through that process than waste extra money on overpriced music and videos! If you're a frequent Amazon-er, I would recommend getting a kindle over something else. :)

Kindle Fire continues to fascinate me as I learn more about using it. However, I haven't had time to go through all the processes it has to offer. I am still learning more each time I use it. I am looking for a stand for it and not sure I want a leather one as it makes Kindle Fire more bulky to carry in my purse.

Purchased this as a gift for my aunt by use coupon code on FireHDSale.com. It is a huge improvement over the original Kindle Fire. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good book reader and something to surf the internet as well.
