Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- As a Senior Executive and Entrepreneur with over 20 years of managerial experience in several industries, Rodolfo “Rufi” Parpan has led a busy and active life—a life that for the most part, required a lot of hard work, discipline, attention to detail and yes, a great amount of energy.

In the course of his long professional career, Rufi has worked for companies involved in the Automotive, Human Resources and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) businesses and has handled sales, marketing and day-to-day operations while successfully managing people at all levels.

At home, he has also successfully managed his happy family life that consists of wife Lalyn, an Interior Designer and daughters Yanna, Gia and Ali, who are all honor students at De La Salle Zobel Santiago School.

So how does Rufi keep it all together? For him, work is not much different from family where everyone is part of a team with a goal to succeed.

Juggling work and family

“At work, I choose to lead via consultation and collaboration,” he reveals. “At first I thought that I could accomplish everything on my own but I learned early in my professional career that you can achieve much more when you work as a team.  ‘Subordinates’ are never referred to or treated as such.  I actually look at all members of my team as part of my family – my work family.”

Rufi says one secret of his success lies in listening to people. It doesn’t hurt opening one’s ears to what others have to say, whether they’re helpful ideas that can make a business thrive or suggestions on how everyone can be more productive.

“I make it a point to try and get to know a little bit more about acquaintances and co-workers at every opportunity,” he pointed out. “I can honestly say that I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons from mentors, bosses and subordinates alike.”

Rufi attributes his ability to get people involved to a one-time stint as a life coach when he directly coached four participants in a leadership training program and guided them through the process of setting up and working towards achieving personal and professional goals over a 90-day period.

“There are still a lot of people who think that a coach is someone who knows better and is there to tell you what to do.  I don’t subscribe to this idea,” he says. “As a life coach, I learned that one of the best ways to help someone is just to be there to listen and to offer your support – whatever type of support that may be.  This experience certainly helped me to become more understanding and appreciative of others and these are lessons that I am teaching my kids as well.”

Speaking of his kids, the hardworking executive says that despite his hectic schedule and the other demands of his work, “family always comes first.”

“It’s pretty much like my father used to say, ‘Your responsibility is first and foremost to your wife and children.’ There will surely be challenges along the way, but when it is time to make a spot decision between your family and something else, the choice should be easy to make,” Rufi exclaims.

As a father, he rates himself as 9 out of 10 even as he acknowledges that there are things that he still needs to improve on in that all-important role.

Immuvit for physical and mental presence

“I used to work out at a nearby gym at least thrice a week,” Rufi replied when asked about his fitness regimen. “I’m not quite the workout junkie anymore but since I achieved my ideal weight and fitness level years ago, I’ve been able to easily maintain it by eating right, getting enough rest and choosing to walk as much as I can.  I’ll take the stairs if I’m not chasing after time.  I also still play basketball at a competitive level for my age group.  I somehow have the energy to sustain me for my usually long days.”

As for complementing his diet and exercise with the needed nutrients from multivitamin supplements, Rufi admits to taking them in the past as well as regular doses of Vitamin C to boost his immune system.

With Immuvit, however, he no longer sees the need to take any other supplement as it has all the essential vitamins and minerals plus Korean and Siberian ginseng and Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) which he admits is good for people his age.

“Fact is, most of my day is spent out of the house and away from the family,” he admits.  “Therefore, weekends are kept sacred. Whereas most professionals will likely be physically spent by this time, I still have the energy to pursue activities with my family. With Immuvit, I am able to maintain a high level of physical and mental presence during this important time.”

As Rufi Parpan effortlessly divides his time between work and family, his immediate focus is for him and his wife to take care of their respective businesses so that they can plan for a well-deserved family vacation in Europe. With a very active lifestyle characterized by a driven mentality and an amazing surplus of energy, there is no doubt that he will succeed in achieving his latest goal.
