JB Knowledge Park celebrated International Human Rights Day

With the motive of generating awareness and importance of Human Rights, JB Knowledge Park celebrated International Human Rights Day at its campus.

 
PRLog - Dec. 13, 2012 - DELHI, India -- With the motive of generating awareness and importance of Human Rights, JB Knowledge Park celebrated International Human Rights Day at its campus. Dr. R.P Singh, Director - JB Knowledge Park welcomed students and faculty members. On this occasion 80 students participated in poster exhibition. Dr. Harshit Sinha, Dean and other faculties were also present.  

Dr. R.P Singh, Director appreciated students’ efforts and said, “These rights has been given to all human beings for their overall development. Human rights play a great role for sustaining integrity and peace in society. But to have complete benefits of these rights, duties need be done. We all are aware about our fundamental rights given in constitution but mentioned fundamental duties should also be obeyed by citizens”.

Human Rights Day is celebrated every year to highlight specific issues related to Rights. Message on the same was given through handmade posters made by students and documentary movies. It was followed by an interactive session where students and faculties talked on rights and Duties mentioned under Article 19 in Indian Constitution. Active participation of students was seen. Parvati, Chandni, Anil, Abhishek, Faiz, Amit, Rakesh and more showed their great interest. Student of JBKP - Parvati said that the event made her understand the importance of rights. If we talk about women in particular they are deprived of their rights and are unaware about how to fight for them. She also added these this topic should be added in the curriculum. Speaking on the same Amit said that we all ask for are rights but don’t care about our responsibilities towards our duties. We see things but ignore. Awareness and encouragement should be brought in order to build better India.

The event ended with the thanks giving note given by Dean Dr. Harshit Sinha.
