Beverly Beach, FL— Emerald Homes, an affiliate of D.R. Horton, the nation’s largest home builder as ranked by Builder Magazine, will be the exclusive builder of new homes at Sunset Inlet. Emerald Homes will build all 31 single-family homes in the new community located on the Intracoastal Waterway.
“I could not be more excited about having Emerald Homes join in our effort to bring the first new development to Beverly Beach in years,” said Sunset Inlet Development Manager Jim Cullis. “They are highly capable of building beautiful homes with quality construction and customer service.”
According to Cullis, Emerald is working with consulting architect Don Evans, of the Evans Group in Orlando, to refine the preliminary designs for a new series at Sunset Inlet. The homes being designed will range from 1,800 square feet to 2,900 square feet with prices anticipated to start in the $300s.
“This is a great opportunity for us to expand our presence in Flagler County with one of the first new beach-side communities in years,” said Emerald Homes Operations Manager, John Molyneaux. “We will bring our tremendous resources and design options to the benefit of the lucky few who become home owners at Sunset Inlet.”
Beverly Beach officials approved the final plat for Sunset Inlet on September 20, 2012. Emerald began making subdivision improvements in October. Molyneaux plans to start construction of the first homes, including a designer model with a sales center, before the end of the year.
“Our current plans are to have the new Sunset Inlet model home open for people to tour by the 2013 summer season,” said Molyneaux.
An interest list is now being formed online at www.sunsetinlet.com. Those on the interest list will have the first opportunity to reserve a homesite when the community officially opens for sale early next year. Grand Haven Realty, also owned by Cullis, has an exclusive agreement to manage sales and marketing for the community.
Sunset Inlet is a planned community of 31 homes being developed on a site 2.5 miles north of downtown Flagler Beach. The property fronts A1A and extends to the Intracoastal Waterway. Each residence will include its own private dock in a protected inlet off the Waterway.
