Dale TerBush took a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and was inspired by the extraordinary jellyfish exhibit. An amazing sense of the “Community of Calm” seemed to have completely mesmerized the room. So he set about studying jellyfish in their habitat, as they moved seamlessly almost in their own quiet ballet.
Having been known for years for creating his luminescent sunrises, he realized that this was a creature with a beautiful sunrise inside of it. TerBush thought to himself, “What if I could put this on canvas? What if I could convey that same sense that I and everyone else was feeling through paint?” So the artist started to paint them, and right before his eyes, they started to glow.
