New Hampshire Schools Receive $9,400 For Classroom Upgrades

Dec. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- GORHAM, N.H. – Dec. 4, 2012 –Today, Berlin City Auto Group and its Drive for Education Foundation, a forward-thinking program created by the employees of Berlin City Auto Group, award the recipients in its Drive for Education program, donating $9,400 to four area school programs throughout New Hampshire.

To be considered for the program, a school had to submit by November 16, 2012 an application and essay to Drive for Education explaining how their school would use a donation of up to $3,500. Berlin City Auto’s Brand Ambassadors, a group of employees that lead the dealerships’ community involvement campaigns, evaluated each of the school’s applications and selected the winners accordingly.  

“We’re humbled and honored to have the ability to pay it forward. In 2 short years this program has been able to give our schools in New England a total of $171,645,” said Yegor Malinovskii, Vice President at Berlin City Auto Group. “We believe in giving back to the community and helping our local schools succeed.”

On December 13, 2012 at 12 noon, a presentation ceremony will be held at Berlin City Ford in Gorham, New Hampshire. The Drive for Education program will honor these schools:

·       Groveton High School—Groveton, N.H.

·       Berlin High School—Berlin, N.H. (2 grants)

·       Rumford Elementary School—Rumford, Maine

·       Family Resource Center/After School Program—Gorham, N.H.

From each vehicle sold at its six dealerships throughout New England, Berlin City gives a portion of the sale to the Drive for Education program. This year, the Drive for Education Foundation has awarded more than $71,369 to New England schools with a total of $171,645 donated since June of 2011.
