Dec. 12, 2012 - Alaska -- On September 13, 2012, ACDA's Board of Directors approved the purchase of Block 96, Lots 1,2, & 3 located at the SW corner of 8th Avenue and K Street. The sale was closed on November 11, 2012. The site is a total of 21,000 square feet. Two small buildings on the site have been demolished and the property will be held for future development. The property is adjacent to the Municipality of Anchorage's Department of Health & Human Services building. This proximity presents an enhanced opportunity for future re-development of the site. ACDA is planning on opening the lots for downtown parking an an interim use.
