Grassroots Organizer Plans Bus Trip to Presidential Inauguration for Second Time

Baton Rouge native and President Obama’s 2008 campaign volunteer takes locals to Washington D.C

Dec. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- January 19th will mark another time that JP Dunbar, a Baton Rouge resident who led local grassroots organizing efforts for President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, departs for Washington D.C with 55 other passengers.  The tentative itinerary boasts 5 days loaded with sightseeing opportunities including attendance of the 57th Presidential Inauguration as witness to the second time President Barack Obama takes oath.

Dunbar says, “The first time I organized a bus trip to D.C. in 2009 was to provide a means for some of the volunteers who worked with me to affordably travel and witness history.”  After this year’s November 6th election numerous phone calls from past travelers, campaign volunteers, and supporters requesting that she consider planning another bus trip made her finally give in and make travel commitments. “The 2009 Inauguration was truly an experience to remember.  I have never in my life felt so much harmony among so many people in one place than in Washington on that day.  It is definitely one of the most inspiring life stories I will share with my future grand-children someday,” Dunbar said.

Calco Travel, Inc. and Marriott hotels are two vendors that Dunbar has chosen to insure that the bus trip is a comfortable one.  She says while the bus is nearly booked a few seats still remain available.  Rates vary per person from $475 - $940.  For more information contact JP Dunbar at 225 663-8852 or by email japd@bellsouth.net.
