Hope for the Holidays is an annual event held in December at various venues in South Florida, including in Hallandale Beach. The city cooperates with the Palms Community Action Coalition to present Hope for the Holidays at a city venue, and this year's event will be at the city's Foster Park during the Arts in the Park event for December.
Food, clothing, toys, gifts and essentials are accepted as donations for the event and provided to participating families who attend. Anyone wishing to attend can bring family and friends and their own folding chairs to enjoy music, performances and holiday entertainment, including arts & crafts and food vendors.
Foster Park is located at 609 NW 6th Avenue in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
To donate clothing, including:
sweat-shirts, socks, new undergarments, T-shirts, fruit cups and other snacks, canned good, first aid kits, gift cards, bags and totes, school supplies, hygiene kits and new toys...
...please call PCAC at: (954) 505-7873 or (754) 204- 5947.
Volunteers are also needed, but help from city residents and visitors is needed as well to help celebrate the holidays and spread cheer to those who may be less fortunate.
Foster Road in Hallandale Beach will be closed for the event between 6th and 7th Avenues. PCAC's Creative Expression Arts Program will be providing entertainment for the event.
The PCAC and Arts in the Park wish everyone the best for the holidays, and the event's organizers look forward to the participation of those who can contribute as well as those in need of hope and provisions to make the holidays a happier time.
