By: Hyatt Regency Jeju Jenam Children Service Centre Receives a $15,000 Grant; Calls for Facebook Votes JEJU, SOUTH KOREA (11 December, 2012) – As part of Hyatt Community Grants, a philanthropic programme that empowers Hyatt associates to guide charitable giving, Hyatt Regency Jeju hotel announced today that it has awarded Jenam Children Service Centre with a US$15,000 grant to further the organisation’ Hyatt Community Grants, a key component of Hyatt Thrive – Hyatt’s global corporate responsibility platform – encourages hotels around the world to identify and nominate local nonprofits for funding consideration through Hyatt Hotels Foundation. The programme builds on Hyatt’s belief that no one better understands a community’s most pressing issues – and their solutions – that those that live and work there. “Since 1992, we have been teaming up with Jenam Children Service Centre in funding or manpower to support their tremendous impact in the Jeju community,” said Julien Gonzalvez, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Jeju. “We are fortunate that Hyatt Thrive gives us the means to identify and support their work, and we hope the community will help secure additional funding for Jenam Children Service Centre in the Facebook campaign, which runs through to the end of the year.” Support Jenam Children Service Centre in Hyatt’s Vote. In 2012, Hyatt Regency Jeju will be among 26 Hyatt properties from around the world awarding more than US$300,000 in grants to nonprofits in their local communities.
