American Resort Development Association CEO Howard Nusbaum To Speak At Timeshare Event GNEX 2013

The chief executive for the timeshare industry’s largest trade association will address delegates during Perspective Magazine’s vacation ownership industry event.

Dec. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Perspective Magazine announces that Howard Nusbaum, President and Chief Executive Officer, American Resort Development Association (ARDA), will give his views on the timeshare industry from his unique position as the leader of the industry’s largest vacation ownership trade association during the Third Annual Global Networking Expo, GNEX 2013 – The Global Meeting of Minds.

ARDA is the Washington D.C.-based trade association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries (timeshares). The membership also includes timeshare owner associations (HOAs), resort management companies, industry vendors, suppliers, and consultants; as well as owners through the ARDA Resort Owners Coalition (ARDA-ROC).

The playground of the stars, Beverly Hills, California will host GNEX 2013 and the Perspective Magazine Awards during February 3-6, 2013 at the luxurious Beverly Wilshire – a Four Seasons Hotel.

An industry leader event, GNEX 2013 will gather executives from six continents to discuss the crucial issues facing the vacation ownership industry. With the majority of attendees expected to hold titles of President, Vice President, Managing Director, C-level and similar executive titles, the entire event will become an exchange of ideas and experiences by decision-makers from throughout the world.

About Howard Nusbaum

Howard C. Nusbaum is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), the Washington D.C.-based professional association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries.

Prior to joining ARDA in 2000, Nusbaum served as Director of Corporate and Industry Relations for the American Hotel & Lodging Association as well as Executive Vice President of the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association. Before joining the world of hotel association management in 1990, he was Vice President of Marketing for Janus Hotels and Resorts, a hotel management company with more than 50 hotels and motels nationwide.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Travel Association and its Executive Committee. He previously served on the Board of the Travel Business Roundtable. Mr. Nusbaum is also a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, a Washington D.C. advocacy organization for all types of real estate.

Nusbaum is a past board member of the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He received the Educational Institute’s “Lamp of Knowledge” for his development of hospitality training programs. Additional honors include being twice named (1995 and 1997) The Ohio Vocational Education Association “Person of the Year” for his work developing a curriculum for secondary school hospitality students. He received national recognition for his development of the very successful HOST Welfare-to-Work Program.

He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. Post collegiate education includes the respected Institute for Organization Management, a six-year program for Association Executives held at the University of Notre Dame. Nusbaum served his State hotel association executives as Chairman of the International Society of Hotel Association Executives (ISHAE).
