Iryna Lomaga Carey, Esq., Joins Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP As A Real Estate Partner

Dec. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Iryna Lomaga Carey (http://www.kelaw.com/attorneys-carey-irina.html), an expert in commercial real estate law with an extensive background in shopping center leasing and acquisitions, has joined the real estate department of Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP, as partner. Ms. Carey will continue to focus her practice on commercial real estate transactions, such as commercial sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial leasing, and commercial finance.

In nearly 25 years of practice, Ms. Carey has handled numerous large-scale transactions. She has coordinated due diligence for the acquisition of more than 40 shopping centers across the country, which involved title reviews, surveys, operating agreements, easements, leases, and development and construction issues. She also negotiated and closed the acquisition of 10 operating supermarkets by a supermarket operator from a major, competitive supermarket chain.

A frequently sought-after speaker and author, Ms. Carey has participated in many professional panel discussions on real estate due diligence, commercial leasing, broker protection, and risk mitigation strategies for landlords and tenants.  Her articles have appeared in the New Jersey Law Journal, and she is frequently quoted in The Record, northern New Jersey’s daily newspaper.

Prior to joining Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP, Ms. Carey was a partner at Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard, PA.  She is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey and belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties, where she serves on both the Education Committee and the Community Affairs Committee.

Ms. Carey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and economics from the University of Vermont, and a juris doctorate cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law. A resident of Glen Ridge, N.J., Ms. Carey serves her community as a trustee for the Phoenix Center and the Glen Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Squad. She also is a council member of the Glen Ridge Congregational Church, where she chairs the Ministry of Outreach & Mission.
