NEC Incorporated Adopts-A-Family from the Salvation Army for the holiday season.

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 10, 2012 - NEC Incorporated, a privately owned sales and marketing firm in Braintree, MA, has partnered with The Salvation Army to assist families in need this holiday season. For the third holiday season NEC Incorporated has adopted a local family through the organization and is encouraging other community members to get involved.

The Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family program matches impoverished families with individual or group sponsors to provide for their tangible needs at Christmas. NEC Incorporated was matched with a Mother and her 5 children residing in Quincy, MA. Many adoptees are referred by professional social workers who help deserving families complete an application during required home visits. An inventory of each family’s needs is taken and a Christmas wish list is compiled. NEC Incorporated will be shopping for gifts for each family member as well as grocery gift cards for the family.

NEC is excited to work with the Salvation Army to give the gift of a meal and presents to a family who could not have otherwise celebrated the holiday season. NEC Incorporated’s staff is very passionate about helping others and hopes that other businesses will join them to unite the community and bring joy to those who are in need.

NEC Incorporated volunteers at least once a month in the community whether it be volunteering their time or fundraising for a cause. Other organizations NEC has volunteered for in the past include: Boston Children’s Hospital, Operation Smile, Susan G. Komen, Perkins School for the Blind, Best Buddies Massachusetts, The American Cancer Society, Make a Wish Foundation and Tuesday’s Children.
