F.I.R.S.T. College Presents Award to Recording Arts Instructor

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 10, 2012 - ACCET-accredited digital media college, F.I.R.S.T. College, announces presentation of “Outstanding Performance” Award to Recording Arts Instructor and Producer/Engineer, Rich Ott. This is the first award of its kind distributed at the college. The winner was nominated by school Directors, Donney Smith and Alan Forbes, and was presented in person during the end-of-year staff meeting.

The Recording Arts program is an 8-month intense curriculum, which prepares students for entry-level employment as Audio Engineer, Recording Engineer, Sound Engineer, Audio Operator, Sound Technician, Broadcast Engineer, and Broadcast Technician. Many students desire to work within a recording studio with professional musical artists.

Award recipient, Rich Ott states, “As an instructor at F.I.R.S.T. College for the past 3 years, it has been an honor to mentor so many talented and dedicated students. I am grateful to have a college like F.I.R.S.T. to be a platform for mentoring and passing on the knowledge I have gained over the past 20 years producing and engineering. To be given an award by my peers in the audio education industry is a true honor and I truly appreciate the recognition. Thank you, F.I.R.S.T. College, for this award and thanks to all of the great students that have allowed me to mentor them.”
