For employers looking to fill health and safety positions, the Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) certification is the only accredited certification that focuses entirely on the safety management process. Professionals who have earned this prestigious designation are in high demand with private industry and government agencies that depend upon the certification to ascertain the most competent person for positions dealing with safety and health management issues.
The Institute for Safety and Health Management administers the CSHM certification and the Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) designation. To help employers looking to fill open positions, the ISHM has made connecting with CSHMs and ASHMs easy. The ISHM’s website has a place to list open positions in the “Members” section of the website. Open positions can be posted by sending the relevant information to info@ISHM.org.
The ISHM also has an active LinkedIn discussion group with close to 450 members. A Facebook page and Twitter account also allows for additional means for employers to reach both CSHMs and ASHMs.
“At the ISHM we want to do everything we can to connect CSHMs and ASHMs with companies and agencies in need of occupational safety and health professionals,”
reported Larry Curtis, CSHM, Executive Director of ISHM. “Many HR professionals have come to rely on organizations such as the Institute for Safety and Health Management to identify qualified candidates to fill these important positions. By utilizing the internet and social media we can help connect employers with highly qualified job candidates. We encourage companies and agencies to take advantage of the ISHM’s internet presence and social media venues to quickly and efficiently fill any open positions they may have.”
